Website information
Privacy & GDPR notice.
How PearSecure handles personal information submitted through this website.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
For personal information submitted through this website, the data controller is PearSecure. The contact for privacy enquiries is:
Brendan Pearson, Managing Director
Brendan@Pear-secure.co.uk
Where PearSecure operates through a registered company or other legal entity, its full legal name and any legally required registered-office details should be added here before the website is treated as final public legal information.
2. What information may we collect?
When you use the enquiry form, we may collect your name, organisation, business email address, telephone number, site or location, enquiry category and the message you provide. Please do not send sensitive personal data, payment card details, security credentials, access codes or detailed vulnerability information through the general website form.
Our hosting and security providers may also process basic technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, request logs and timestamps to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
3. Why do we use your information?
- To receive, review and respond to enquiries.
- To understand the security or business-development requirement described.
- To arrange a discussion or, where appropriate and with suitable transparency, explore an introduction to an independent operational provider.
- To maintain records of business communications and manage potential or established business relationships.
- To protect the website, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
4. Lawful basis
Depending on the circumstances, PearSecure may rely on legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, maintaining business records and protecting the website; taking steps at your request before entering into a contract; or complying with a legal obligation. Where consent is required for a particular activity, we will request it separately and you may withdraw it.
5. Who may receive the information?
Access is limited to people who need the information to handle your enquiry. Website form submissions are processed through Netlify, the website hosting and form platform. We may use other service providers for email, IT or business administration. Information will only be shared with an independent security provider where it is relevant to your enquiry and it is appropriate to do so; where practicable, we will explain this before making the introduction.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use information submitted through this form to send unrelated marketing campaigns.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, PearSecure should ensure that an appropriate transfer mechanism and safeguards are in place under applicable data protection law. Details can be provided on request once the providers and their processing locations are confirmed.
7. How long do we keep information?
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage the relationship, maintain an appropriate business record and meet legal obligations. PearSecure should apply and periodically review a written retention schedule, including a defined period for enquiries that do not progress. Records connected with a contract or legal dispute may need to be kept for longer.
8. Your data protection rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in law, you may have the right to request access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You also have the right to raise concerns with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, email Brendan@Pear-secure.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Contact the ICO / make a complaint.
9. Security
PearSecure takes reasonable steps to protect enquiry information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid sending confidential site-security information through the public form.
10. Children
This website is intended for business and professional enquiries and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through this site.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our practices, service providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its review date.
